Gen Z Advisory Board Intern
Our democracy is facing a grave threat today. Young people have more power to defend it than they may realize — and getting them to the polls is one component of defeating the MAGA agenda.

We're running targeted communications for the 2026 midterms — focused specifically on 18–26-year-olds in swing districts. Our goal is simple: motivate turnout. Not lectures on civics. Not changing minds. Just speaking honestly to young people in a way that lands.
To do that well, we need to hear from you!

About the role
Commitment is flexible. At minimum, we're asking for regular attendance of sessions reviewing messaging, materials, and communications – and sharing your feedback.

At maximum, you could be a core part of the operation.

Potential projects (subject to your skills and interests) may include:
-
Messaging feedback: Review and react to campaign materials — ads, copy, social posts — and tell us what's cringe, what hits, and what's missing entirely
-
Constituent outreach: Text or talk directly with young voters in your area
-
Content creation: Make influencer-style videos or social content that speaks authentically to your peers
-
Data analysis: Help us understand what's working and why
-
Campus organizing: Mobilize your own networks and communities
-
Strategy input: Sit in on planning discussions and shape how we approach your demographic
Why join?
-
Real influence. We're not hiring you to get coffee — your perspective will shape how we communicate with an entire generation
-
Work alongside experienced political strategists, technologists, and communicators
-
Build skills in messaging, organizing, and digital campaigning
-
Be part of something that matters in a consequential election cycle
Who we're looking for
We want a diverse advisory board — across political backgrounds, economic experiences, racial and cultural identities, geographies. You don't need to agree with us on everything. You need to know your generation.
-
If you’re dialed in to politics and current events, registered to vote on your 18th birthday, we want to talk to you.
-
If you don’t understand why anyone would bother to vote, we want to talk to you, too.
A few markers we look for:
-
You have strong opinions about how young people are (and aren't) talked to by campaigns
-
You're plugged into your community — online, on campus, or IRL
-
You say what you think, even when it's uncomfortable
-
You're a natural communicator — in person, in writing, or on camera
Logistics
Flexible hours and timeline — designed around a student or early-career schedule. Remote-first with occasional virtual meetings. Open to undergrad and recent grads. Advisory board is unpaid; project work will carry competitive compensation.
